What's the best solution to experience the latest game releases in the highest quality if you don't have a machine powerful enough to handle it? Instead of having to spend more money to set up a suitable machine, one of the best alternative solutions is to utilize game-streaming services from various companies, as long as your internet is reliable enough, of course.
One of the most popular services at the moment is NVIDIA GeForce Now, which is affordable and friendly. But unfortunately, those of you who continue to enjoy this service will have to deal with a new limitation that is most likely, annoying.
That is no longer unlimited, NVIDIA officially announced the implementation of a quota system of 100 game hours per month for their GeForce Now service starting in 2025. This system will apply to both Performance and Ultimate customers under the pretext of maintaining consistent streaming quality and speed as well as shorter queue times.
Gamers who don't use up their quota completely can carry over an extra 15 hours to the next month. Meanwhile, those who want to play more than the available quota in the same month will be able to pay an additional fee of USD 2.99 for an extra 15 hours on Performance and USD 5.99 for an extra 15 hours on Ultimate.
The good news? NVIDIA will provide relief for gamers who sign up for the GeForce Now service before December 31, 2024 to still be able to enjoy the unlimited quota system throughout 2025. Their 100 hours/month quota system will only apply in 2026 after that.
NVIDIA's decision has certainly provoked quite a negative reaction in various communities who seem to be considering building their own PCs. What do you think of this situation?
