Many interpret Google Stadia's Cloud Gaming service as similar to Netflix for gaming. But that assumption is wrong. Google dismissed that assumption.
Google Stadia is not 'Netflix for games. Google emphasized this and said stadia pro is more similar to Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus.
In a Q&A session on Reddit, Stadia's Director of Product, Andrey Doronichev, responded to several questions about Google products. Most questions discussed free games that can be accessed by subscribing to the streaming service from Stadia.
This misunderstanding is due to the same Stadia Pro subscription price as the price of a Netflix subscription in the UK. In addition, on its website, Stadia Pro is said to be accessible to the collection of games without incurring any additional costs. Sounds like Netflix, doesn't it?
It turns out that the intended access to the collection of games is not like the features provided by Netflix but rather one free game per month such as the Epic Games Store feature. This way, the free games you access can be stored in your account.
So keep in mind, Stadia isn't the same as Netflix. On Netflix, you can simply pay a subscription fee and can watch all available shows at the membership level you pay. But in Stadia, in addition to paying a monthly subscription fee, you also still have to pay to be able to play the video games you want to play.
